The London & Slough Run is a local charity that as a church we wish to support.
We will keep all of our members informed of how they can each help to support those persons that are in need.
At our Christmas Carole Service on the 18th December, we donated all of the money raised from the sale of raffle tickets.
We continue to collect clothing, footwear, coats
jackets, socks, hat's gloves sleeping bags that will help to keep people warm out on the streets during all weathers. Dog food and biscuits are also welcomed for the dogs out on the streets with the homeless.
(Please see our Facebook page for a full description of what we collect and for).
Our crisp packet collecting is still going strong that we started toward the end of last year.
An artisan makes foil sleeping bags from washed out crisp packets. It takes 150 to make one bag. This can save a life.
Our church chair challenge will start off this January. This will be a to be a fun way to raise more funds for those less fortunate.
Please come along to one of our services to participate.
Members of the church, Saint Joseph's in Chalfont St Peter are the organisers for all the work involved in for the London & Slough Run.
They take part in regular cycling treks to raise money and are going to America this year for a number of weeks.
We aim to update more information during the cycling event. So please watch this space.
